Types of Crosses

A patron came in and wanted to find out the type of cross they had based on a picture and a descriptiion. After lots of searches of different church and cross websites, we did a Google search of the term "cross of crosses", since the cross described was one that consisted of 2 overlapping crosses at 45-degree angles, and was nicknamed "the cross of crosses".

This gave us the site The Cross - A cross reference for the emblem of Christianity, which has an excellent navigatable graphic for finding types of crosses and their histories.
